How Dianette treats acne
Dianette offers effective treatment for acne because it contains the active ingredient cyproterone acetate. This is an anti-androgen. Androgens are male hormones and when the female body produces too many of them or are sensitive to their effect, can result in the sebaceous glands on the skin producing too much sebum. Sebum can block pores, causing them to become inflamed and acne appears.
Cyproterone acetate influences the sensitivity of androgen receptors in the body, reducing their effect. This ingredient also reduces the production of certain types of androgens by the ovaries. In addition to all these functions, it is also able to provide almost 100% effective protection from pregnancy, if taken correctly.
Who can take Dianette?
It is considered safe to use in general, but you should not take this medication if you are pregnant or breast-feeding, you have liver problems or circulatory problems. How to take Dianette for acne

If you take the pill at any other stage in your cycle, you should use additional contraception (such as condoms) for the first 7 days to protect against pregnancy. Side effects of Dianette
Most pills with contraceptive properties can cause mild initial side effects such as headaches, changes in menstrual bleeding, nausea, spotting and water retention, although these effects aren't lasting and are mostly seen as a result of your body adjusting to the new treatment. Dianette increases the risk of deep vein thrombosis, although it's a rare side effect, should you start experiencing extreme pain in your legs, breathlessness, swelling and redness in the area, you should seek medical help as soon as possible.
