How Gyno-Daktarin works
Thrush is caused by an overgrowth of natural flora present in the vagina, known as Candida albicans or yeast. Using this cream aims to restore that balance by killing the fungi. It does this with the help of its active ingredient, miconazole, which stops the yeast cells from producing ergosterol, which is vital to their survival. Not only does it kill the actual fungal cells, but it is also known to target other bacteria that can often cause yeast infections to worsen, making this a highly comprehensive thrush medication.
Who Gyno-Daktarin is for
It is generally safe and suitable for most, but it may not be recommended in the following cases: if you are allergic to the active ingredient or you are pregnant. How to use Gyno-Daktarin
The cream is inserted into the vagina with the help of applicators. These are easy to use and will ensure that you apply the medicated cream directly where it's required. However, your doctor may also recommend a shorter course of treatment over a seven-day period where you use it twice a day.
